What happens if I make a mistake?
If a mistake is made on a spreadsheet, you can simply press the ‘Undo’ icon at the top of the page or go to the ‘Edit’ drop-down menu at the top of the page and select ‘Undo’.
We highly recommend that you make a back-up copy of your spreadsheet at regular intervals.
What happens next year?
Tax codes and tax thresholds change every year, so our spreadsheets will be updated and will be available for downloading when the new changes come into effect. Please contact us for prices.
What if I don’t have Microsoft Excel?
That’s no problem. There is a free spreadsheet package available at www.openoffice.org. Easy As 123 Accounts is compatible with this.
I haven’t used a spreadsheet before. Is it really as simple as you say to use?
It really is! You just enter basic information from the sales and purchases you have made, keep a record of any mileage you do for the business, and the spreadsheet does the rest.
What support can I get during set-up?
We offer technical support by email while you set up the spreadsheet ready for use, subject to a 3 month maximum. Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm, excluding bank holidays and closed from 23rd December 09 and 5th January 2010.
What support can I get after the first year?
Technical support will be available through an annual contract, priced at £25 per annum for support taken during 2009. Please contact us for 2010 prices.
Will I need any special training?
The spreadsheet has been designed for use by people with very little computer experience and who may not have seen a spreadsheet before. If you would like anything explained in more depth, we’re more than happy to advise you through the set-up process and explain how to use the spreadsheet by email.
What if I need to change the spreadsheet a little bit?
You can send us an email and explain your requirements to our technical department, who will be happy to provide you with a quotation to amend the spreadsheet to suit your needs.
How do I order it?

I don’t want to use the internet to download the spreadsheet, so can you send me a copy by post?
Yes we can. You can email us and we’ll arrange to post a CD out to you.
Why is it cheaper if I download it?
If we post a CD out to you, it costs us to produce the CD and to provide a hard cover to post it in, as well as the additional postage charge. We don’t incur any of these costs of you download the spreadsheet.
Do you offer accountancy advice as well as technical advice?
The technical advice we offer specifically relates to the functionality and set-up of the spreadsheet. Accountancy advice would be far more technical and varied than this and therefore we won’t be able to offer any specific advice. We would advise you to speak to HM Revenue & Customs:

Will I need an accountant?
If you’re a sole trader or partnership, we would recommend you keep your own book-keeping records on the Easy As 123 Accounts spreadsheet. You can then print off the pages and take them to your local tax office for FREE advice if you feel you need it.
If you’re trading as a Ltd Company, then the Self-Assessment form is more complex and you may need some help with it. However, you can keep your records on the Easy As 123 Accounts spreadsheet, print off the sheets and ask advice from your tax office on how to fill in the Self-Assessment form. It can be beneficial to have an accountant to help with finalising your accounts at the end of your year, as they may be able to offer advice on saving tax as a LTD Company.
